Onion Pattern

The Onion pattern is reputedly not the onion pattern at all, but the pomegranate pattern. Pomegranate featured regularly on Chinese porcelain, but was copied by european potters (and of course since no one in Europe knew what a pomegranate was, the closest recognisable thing they thought it was, was an onion).The Dresden cups I have for this listing came from an inherited estate and are in perfect crisp condition.
