Queen's Rosina China

Queen's Pottery was based in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire (where all the best english porcelain was produced!) and established in 1887. From 1941, it was run by Rosina China Ltd. Most potteries were named after their owners - Masons, Ridgway, Aynsley - but Rosina was run by two brothers who chose not to use their surname - Shufflebottom.

At the end of the 80s, Queen's Rosina China merged with Elizabethan Fine Bone China (which was also owned by the Shufflebottom brothers!) and it operated as Crownford Holdings Ltd. Any Queens Rosina China was therefore produced before that time, in the period from 1940-87.

I always think of it as Shufflebottom china though, which is certainly memorable, if not quite the image they were going for.
