Hermann Ohme | Nouveau-Deco | Weinlaub | c.1920 Silesia Germany

A new puzzle emerged upon the acquisition of these items which came presented as a set. The cup model is Dora, and is definitively Hermann Ohme as denoted by the backstamps dating from the deco period. And the vine leaf pattern appears very much like (if not exactly like) Meissen's prestigious vine leaf pattern (Weinlaub) - although obviously, in black (very dark green??) as opposed to green!

So far so good...

Yet the accompanying side plate (which has the same pattern) is not stamped which is highly irregular for Ohme-ware, furthermore the matching cake plate - again the exact same pattern, bears an unusual imprint. An E topped with a crown. Research is  underway... watch this space :)
