It's unusual to find lusterware made in Europe, and if you do it's probably antique. Modern lusterware - like those little vintage mochas - is often made in Asia and exported to where those who love it, hungrily await (that would be me then). Examples of old lusterware, like the famous pink lusterware invented by Wedgwood, were mostly produced in the 19th century. And this one was too.

Rörstrand produced their lusterware pattern "Japan" between 1866-1926. It's not just pink, it's also bronze, brown, orange, blue, read, green, yellow and gold. Such a panopoly of colours is challenging to pull off, but I think Japan does. And it's really some kind of wonderful.
