Christineholm design studio items are collectible but there's quite a few still around, making this gorgeously sunny and bright teapot with its cups a potential investment for the future but also not expensive enough to lock away in a cabinet. This design is called "Solvik", which literally translated means "sun fjord". It dates from the 1970s and was extremely popular - with good reason! Swedes live in darkness 6 months of the year and during that time sunshine is a scarce and valued resource.

NB. The lid has a miniscule chip on it and the price is reduced accordingly. PS: If you're looking for delicate china, this one isn't for you. This set is reassuringly chunky, the kind of pottery which is designed to comfort you as you cradle it on those mornings you wish you could return to bed.
