Gold Castle | Floral Mocha Miniature on Ivory with Gold Filigree Accents

This cup is from my range of miniatures and lusterware cups I've hand picked over the last few years, most of them were previously my personal collection (before I ran out of space and decided to start trading!). Each cup is a beautiful representation of its kind. Some are souvenir cups, others are Fragonard cups, others still are art deco lusterware.

This one is a delightful example of Japanese exportware. Manufacturing of porcelain was an expensive business in the UK especially after WW1, which is when many decided to outsource to Japan. Japanese potters were savvy enough to learn what was popular in the European market. This one is created in the style of Schumann Arzberg's Empress Dresden pattern and probably dates from around the 1960s.
