The artist Gunnar "Gunnarson" Wennerberg lived at the turn of the century and designed, among other things, some amazing Art Nouveau porcelain. In his capacity as Art Director at Gustavsberg he was one of the great pioneers, a giant who paved the way or the mid century modern Scandinavian art and design we know today. This is one of his iconic designs, called after him; Gunnar. He created this design around 1905, and it was sold until 1936. This particular version is a limited edition series created for the depertment store NK in Sweden. It is no longer produced.NB. this was also produced on the SA model (one of the only ones I'm missing!!)
