I just want you to pause a little and see how fresh this cup is. And now realise that because Fenton Pottery was bankrupt by 1931, that this cup is almost certainly an antique, at 100 years old. The relief on the cup is reminiscent of nouveau as well as the handle, and yet it feels like a more modern style of cup overall. The decor on it is an english interpretation of cherry blossom, one of the famous motifs of old school Japanese porcelain.
