Johnson Bros | Eastbourne | Miniature Creamware c.1913

This is one of my only listings so far for the famous Johnson bros - although for all you porcelain lovers who care about pedigree, the Johnson brothers (all four of them) were the grandkids of the Meakin pottery lineage. (Pedigree seems to be a key ingredient in porcelain success!)

This cup and saucer is in extremely good condition for its age, no chips or cracks and an unfaded pattern. The Johnson Brothers were at one time the biggest producers of tableware, and saw huge success in the U.S. precisely for the reason that their items were so durable.
