Mitterteich | Pure Gold | Bavarian Miniature Teacup

This cup is from my range of miniatures and lusterware cups I've hand picked over the last few years, most of them were previously my personal collection (before I ran out of space and decided to start trading!). Each cup is a beautiful representation of its kind. Some are souvenir cups, others are gold filigree cups, others still are art deco lusterware.

Somehow I've ended up collecting two patterns on this model cup from Mitterteich. The other is handpainted and beautiful, but then there is this one. The reason it looks so smooth is because it was literally dipped in pure gold. Yep. That's how they did it back then...
