Hugely lavish, traditional antique lusterware father's day cup imported to Sweden from Germany. A shiny pink cup may not be your first idea for a father's day cup but it's not without precedent. Teddy Roosevelt famously owned a gorgeous pink lusterware tea set, (and of course until recently, pink was the colour for baby boys, not girls). Whatever your thoughts on the matter, its listed here under the category boho-chic which no one can really deny this cup is. These cups were hugely popular in Germany at the turn of the century (18th to 19th!); not quite as popular in Sweden, but they evidently travelled here too (Fars Kopp means Father's cup in Swedish).
