Crown Staffordshire | hand-painted | J.T. Jones | Jumbo Size

Such a beautiful and delicate hand painted floral design, you can hardly believe that it’s on this satisfyingly jumbo sized cup. The edges of both the cup and the saucer are slightly scalloped, and the gold gilt rim remarkably intact. It's also the signed (or at least stamp signed) work of Jack - J.T - Jones who was born in 1898, joined Crown Staffordshire at the tender age of 13 years old, worked there for 47 years to become its celebrated artistic director and one of the leading bone china designers in the world. This cup was then (obviously!) made pre-1958 and according to the powers of the internet, this stamp was used from 1930 onwards so this cup was made in that window of time.
