Crocus flowers are second only to the tulip in the Swedish floral popularity stakes, as an emblem of spring. And that means you can find them on a lot of designer cups! Gefle made a very rare (and now very expensive) krokus on their AU model, and Hennix did her Krokus on the SA-2 model at Gustavsberg.

This one though is the most famous, by Finnish designer Esteri Tomula for Arabia. It comes in two versions; the coloured one in green and purple and the black & white outline. It was only in production from 1978-1979 so there's not too many around...The cup design is from the EH series by Peter Winquist in 1970.
