Pirkenhammer Antique | Bohemian Floral Cup & Saucer | Czechslovakia | Muted Brown Florilla and Gold Trim, Perfect for a tea party

This cup and saucer set is really the epitome of what characterises typical vintage, an 'almost' antique decorated in muted brown & gold, and an old-school florilla pattern, a version of which has been used by almost every potter who ever existed.Pirkenhammer called their florilla pattern Carlsbad, which is the town in Bohemia nearby where the factory was based. (Yes this porcelain is not just bohemian, its Bohemian!) The backstamp dates this porcelain set between the years 1918-33. Beware! This cup is not a delicate demitasse (although it manages to pull off the descriptor "dainty" still fairly well), it's a full size teacup, and a satisfying smooth hold.

Each cup and saucer is in good to very good condition. The gilt is intact, and there are no cracks or chips. If you like this set, a matching sugar bowl and milk jug (and which of course you can also buy...unless someone beat you to it :)
