Kathie Winkle designed the Kontiki pattern at Broadhurst, and the date of issue for the most common version in orange and green version is 1965.

At some point, three more versions were produced; yellow and blue, turquoise with gold, and orange with gold bands. Whilst the 1965 version and yellow and blue version use the backstamp with Kathie's signature, the other two do not.

The backstamp with the signature was in use from 1964-1978. Any patterns designed by Kathy from 1958-64 or printed after 1978 therefore do not have Kathie's signature on them even if they were by her, which all of these obviously are.

My best guess for the turquoise and gold, and orange and gold versions is that they were produced at some point in the period from 1978-84. Stylistically they feel closer to 80s trends; but both variants are rare...!
