Gustavsberg | Exclusive Ltd Ed | Valborg Lundberg | SA | Lindberg c. 1977

1949 saw the launch of Stig Lindberg's first coffee service, the SA model (then 70 years later, I became obssessed with collecting it).

I’ve never read about this one or seen it documented anywhere (as with Finspång in a previous listing). This SA model (obviously a limited edition) was created in 1977. Underneath the saucer is written Valborg Lundberg and the date 1977. I presume this is a reference to the composer of the same name. But why it was created and whose decor design it was, I have no idea (yet!)

Other decors I've found documented on the SA mocha cup are Colores, Rödhätta, Florette, Rosa, Dresden, Gustavsbergblomma, Rosalin & Julie. I've seen another but as yet it is nameless. Of course, there are always more out there... that's the beauty of collecting china :)
