Gustavsberg | Rosalin | Lindberg | SA | Lindberg c. 1951

1949 saw the launch of Stig Lindberg's first coffee service, the SA model (then 70 years later, I became obssessed with collecting it). This decor is called Rosalin.

Rosalin is documented in the "big book about Stig Lindberg" (issued by Scandinavian Retro) as one of the earliest decors; only the undecorated model and the Gustavsbergblommor on the SA model are earlier. She also has a twin, a very similar decor in blue named Julie. Rosalin is a rare find although Julie is rarer. They were both produced in 1951.

Decors I've found documented on the SA cup are Rosalin (this one) Colores (the Harlequin set), Rödhätta, Florette , Rosa, Dresden, Gustavsbergblomma, & Julie. I've seen another but as yet it is nameless. Of course, there are always more out there... that's the beauty of collecting china :)
