Rosenthal | White Romance | Wiinblad | Demitasse duo

Rosenthal names its cups by shape and by decoration (unlike Gustavsberg and Gefle who give their models two letters). This cup model is called Romance by Björn Wiinblad - its full name Romanze in White. Thus this version of Romance is pure white and the surface is covered with an incredibly fine relief of lines, dots and ovals (the decoration is also by Wiinblad, but romance comes in other versions by other pattern designers too). It's the first version, the most famous and dates from the 1960s.This cup is incredibly thin, although presumably since it's lasted this long, also tough. When you pick it up, it is as if you have picked up, well air! its very very light (and I'll be packing it very very carefully!)
