So many of the original English pottery manufacturers were based in Staffordshire, that it's rare to find any antiques from one which wasn't... (but obviously I have!)

Thomas Goodwin Green was based in Cornwall and his factory is now synonymous with a blue and white striped ceramic range called Cornishware (very famous and very popular!). However, T.G. Green did also - as the extremely old backstamp on this cup denotes - at one time produce Willow tableware.

The factory started in 1864; and this piece dates to around 1880-90. T.G. Green's contribution to ceramics history doesn't end there either.

In the 1960s Berit Ternell (one of the most collectible artists from Gefle U.E.. Sweden) designed a full tableware for T.G. Green which has now become very rare and desirable... It's called Fleur, and you can see one of these pieces in this shop as well.
