Hermann Ohme | Nouveau-Deco | Cup & Saucer, Eglantine, delicate stencilled flowers on Silesia c.1882-1900

This gorgeous scalloped cup & saucer came into my possession from the estate of a collector as many Ohme pieces do. Identifying the design and decor of Ohme pieces is, for some of us, a lifelong passion. This design is a well known one - eglantine, which also means sweet briar rose - is a mold with the relief of roses and leaves - but the beautiful stencilled flower design in fineline pink etched with gold highlights, I don't yet know.

NB. This also came with an additional saucer (presumably the previous owner had another cup once upon a time) which I havent listed here; it's in the new spare saucer section which I've set up because so many of us are on the hunt for the saucer which matches our lonely cups :)
