Rauenstein Thuringia l Antique | strawflower | hand painted, gilded & enamelled

This is a late 18th/early 19th century, gilded and enamelled Rauenstein Thuringia porcelain cup and saucer, with the strawflower pattern (you can see the famous strawflower pattern in another listing - Blau Saks by Kahla!) It's made from early hard paste porcelain, this was hand painted in blue underglaze with green and red enamel highlights and gilt accents. Close up, it's truly amazing.

It's for you if you're a collector of 18th and 19th century German and continental porcelain by Furstenburg, Meissen, KPM, Hoechst, and Thuringia. I have a number of these cups, but of course they vary in quality. We can discuss the quality of the next cup in line if you decide you're interested.

Update: These came as a set of eight. Broadly speaking, it appears that 4 of them were in regular use and four were not. The four which were 'perfect' have now gone. The four remaining have minimal chips, and are therefore now on sale.
