Broadhurst | Mardi Gras | Kathie Winkle | Retro Tableware

This listing is for the Mardi Gras pattern by Kathie Winkle at Broadhurst, which was - at one time at least - easily the most popular pattern for those living here in Gothenburg (judging by its availability!) Unsurprisingly it's also one of the most colourful which I posit the Swedes are attracted to, since we have to spend half a year in darkness. It uses the same colours as Corfu, but the decor of straight lines links it also to the so called 'kontiki' turquoise. Mardi Gras is on the standard model.


Kathie & Co

I love the ceramics I find locally around my chosen home in Sweden, but I also love the pottery I grew up with in the North of England (it’s a lot better suited to my budget for one thing!). Most of the patterns in this section are by Kathie Winkle whose knack for design is increasingly recognised as genius (she produced over 120 of them). They also mix and match very well which means you don't have to remain restricted to one pattern for a beautifully eclectic table setting. I call it mix-matched or mosaic retro tableware.

You can use it every day, but also for special occasions... birthdays & Christmas ...or even just to make yourself feel special (that's important too!).
