Franciscanware was originally produced in the USA in a firm which was founded in 1875 and this pattern was one of theirs; however in 1969 the company purchased two very prestigious english pottery manufacturers, Myott & Sons and Alfred Meakin, and these two manufacturers produced their patterns for a short period of time, including this one... which is a really charming, and muted reinvention of a much earlier Minton pattern (see last pic).
