Gefle U.E. | Neptun (blå) | Clough | AU Teacup | Percy

This is such a great find and a fabulously rare cup. Neptun usually comes in yellow, but here it's in blue. It's also one of very few decors by Dorothy Clough on this model. Dorothy hailed from England, studied fine arts in edinburgh and joined Gefle as an intern in the 50s. She worked more with ceramics and figurines than she did with tableware, which means her few cup patterns are very desirable.

Saucer diameter 15.5cm

There are no nicks or scratches on the cup, or the saucer. However there is some cracking in the glaze near the top of the inside, and very very faint colouration. The cracking does not pierce through to the pottery (i.e. it does not let water in) and it is useable for drinking purposes.
