The stylish and timeless Fleur by Paul Hoff on Stig Lindberg's SAL model tea cup. Paul Hoff joined Gustavsberg directly after art school and developed a highly celebrated talent for his animal design, both painted on plates (in 2D) and sculpted. His series "species in danger" was one of the first assignments and nowadays one of the most valuable. He designed very few cups - but those he did were also popular.

The elusive Emma (in both green and brown), Paulin, & this one Fleur. I haven't seen Fleur on the tahiti model coffee cup (model design by Stig Lindberg) only this version on the tea cup (also designed by Stig Lindberg).To my mind the mystery of his cups is in their similarity; because Paul Hoff knew very well how to produce a wide variety of designs, yet all three cups paulin, emma (green) and fleur - arguably could be interchangeable (if you weren't paying attention!). He did design another cup in red and blue called Japan. And yet... it's Emma... just in different colours.
