Beautiful and fascinating Juniblom coffee cup; one of only two collaborations between Hennix & Blomqvist for Gustavsberg.

Calle Blomqvist was an artist who worked at Gustavsberg before Stig Lindberg arrived, although he and Stig overlapped for a certain time. His work was far more realist with greater attention to detail, versus the subsequent more illustrative cartoon-like representations that followed.

Juniblom means "June Flowers" in English; In June (and in Sweden) two of the most common flowers are buttercups and cornflowers (as depicted on this cup).

This cup has stamped cursive signatures of the artists, on a plain white saucer.
