Another of the rarest SA models in existence (see Plateau by Hennix). This model is called Kattun a word derived from the same root for cotton. It refers to a specific type of cotton, namely calico cotton (originally made in Calicut India), a heavy cotton printed with chintz patterns printed with floral/nature inspired blocks... hence the pattern on the cup.

Compare this cup with the decor on Turtur (Lindberg); very different inspiration, but remarkably similar style; and it's also worth comparing it with Galejan (Hennix) :) Following the porcelain pattern history is fascinating.
