Iconic, vintage, Scandinavian coffee cups, by Stig Lindberg on his SA-1 cup model. This listing is for the tahiti cup, Stig Lindberg's most popular (although not the rarest), but definitely most valuable cup. The tahiti design was also made as a teacup (on the SA-2) cup model (that is even rarer, and if possible even more expensive!)

About Tahiti (1970-73, chrome-printed decor on models SA and ST, bone china, tea and coffee set (but not tea or coffee pot).

From a price sheet dated January 2, 1970, it appears that there were plans to incorporate a coffee pot in this, perhaps the most popular of Lindberg's tableware. "Coffee pot during work" is written under the price information for the other parts. However, due to problems with lead and cadmium, Tahiti was shut down before any jug came into production. At the same time, a creamer and sugar bowl were produced, but I've been unable to find them!

I currently have 5 in stock; one however has a faded pattern on one side (this is not unusual actually, I've seen it a lot with the SA cups). The others I have in stock are in good condition. None have any chips.
