Another rarity by Karin Bjorquist, a little known cup decorated with Cherry Blossom.Such a cup should be better known I feel because in it you can see the history of porcelain. Karin Björquist’s interpretation of cherry blossom recalls the traditional motif of old Japanese imariware which often showed Sakura Cherry blossom. It's also in blue and white - the only colour that once survived the firing process. And of course the mid century cup model A, made famous by Stig Lindberg’s Berså, and Hennix's Törnros, Galejan, and Rosa. Three important epochs in the history of porcelain.
