Cobalt blue china is a thing of utter beauty. It's rich and glorious, often ornately gilded and sumptuous. This cup is all of that and more; it's special. Whilst it's special, its not wholly original. This cobalt blue with gold set, was done by several manufacturers, often with a fragonard love scene instead of the floral decoration above. However, none of that detracts from its beauty.About Moritz ZdekauerMoritz Zdekauer was the name of a bank as well as a porcelain factory. That's no coincidence. They took over a failing Austrian porcelain company in 1880 and despite several changes in ownership afterwards, the porcelain company remained MZ and still operates today.
