Gefle U.E. | Fontana | Ternell | EH Teacup

This Gefle cup is called Fontana by Berit Ternell. Fontana isn't a common swedish word, but its derived from the Italian for fountain in the sense of the source of a spring (an appropriate name for a drinking vessel!). The Fontana was immensely popular when it was released & because of that is fairly available even now.

Berit won prizes for her work and during the 60s was considered the foremost designer at Gefle. This listing is for the EH teacup.

EH dimensons:

The coffee cup is 7 cm diameter and 5,5cm height. The saucer is 13 cm diameter.

The tea cup is larger. It's 9.5cm diameter & 6cm height. The saucer is 15.5cm diameter.
