Gefle U.E. | Kryss | Ringström | EB Coffee Cup

Very exciting for a nerd like me to introduce new cup model into the listings, this is the EB model, and the design is by Helmer Ringström.The way to tell an EB is because of their curious little pointy hook shaped handle. This cup - Kryss- was produced between 1957 and 1960. Kryss (unsurprisingly) means "cross" in English. It might be interesting for cup aficionados to know that Helmer started his career under Wilhelm Kåge (who was also the artistic director of Stig Lindberg) at Gustavsberg, before leaving to forge a career at Gefle. Like Stig Lindberg, Helmer focused on refining the process with labour saving designs. The EB like most designs comes in coffee cup and teacup version. This is the coffee cup version.
