Rörstrand | Antique | Formosa (Grön) | c. 1910

Porcelain which has retained its superb colours and stands proudly among us chip free having been produced over 100 years ago, is something to be admired. This pattern by Rörstrand called Formosa, was manufactured between 1886 and 1918, when the Rörstrandsfabriken was located in Stockholm. It is both printed and hand-painted.

Formosa comes both in red (i.e the background is red ) and green (this version). Be warned that porcelain from this era is not dishwasher proof! The material is the beautiful white bone china. At the bottom of the cup is a collection of sweet flowers (a reward or surprise for those who finish their coffee!)

This listing is for one teacup & saucer. I have two in stock; although the pattern has held up remarkably well, the flowers at the bottom of one cup are more faded than the other. They will be sold in order, so if there is only one left, its is the slightly more faded one.
