"Irene" is a take on the blueberry motif which is so phenomenally popular in Sweden (look carefully, every major ceramics artist has his or her own version!). This one is on Rörstrand's SF model cup, by Rose Marie Benedikt. The Irene series was in production between 1966 to 1977 (showing just how popular it was with consumers too). It has a twin sister - Isabella (with orange berries!)

It also pairs remarkably well with Birgitta by Jackie Lynd which was issued in 1976, and is too similar to have not been at least inspired by Rose Marie's earlier design...

The cup is in great condition. No cracking in the glaze or the pottery. No chips. This is the teacup version of the SF.
