Aynsley | Art Nouveau-Deco | Floral Illustration c. 1950s

This is one in a range of miniatures and lusterware cups I've hand picked over the last few years, most from my personal collection (before I ran out of space and decided to start trading!). Each cup is a beautiful representation of its kind. Some are souvenir cups, others are Fragonard cups, others still are art deco lusterware.

Aynsley china has a reputation for excellence established by generations of the Aynsley family starting in Staffordshire in 1775. This little mocha coffee can bears the stamp used between 1935 and 1955 and is decorated with geometric art deco influenced stylised flowers in deep red, pink, and brown. The saucer diameter is 11cm, cup height 5.25cm, & cup diameter 5cm. The decor has some slight wear, but otherwise is in superbly crisp and beautiful condition. Bone China.
