Eggshell Porcelain | Sakura Cherry Blossom | Vintage "Prunus", c.1958

These beautiful blue and white eggshell cups are a familiar sight in Sweden, where eggshell china was very popular in the 30s and 40s. They're known colloquially as prunus due to the blue fruits on the tree (although they are of course, actually cherries).

These cups were made in Japan and date from around 1955. No eggshell cup collection is complete without one.
