Karlskrona U.E. | Louise | Mellander | Coffee Cup

This listing is for a wonderful small coffee cup with hand drawn illustrations designed by Brita Mellander for Upsala Ekeby, Karlskrona. It's called Louise and was in production in the 60s.The cup is in overall good but used condition, no nicks or cracks, but some slight fading on the pattern. Cup approx. 6.2 cm diameter 6.7 cm height. Saucer approx. 13.5 cm diameter..Brita joined Karlskrona straight after her studies and immediately started designing on Arthur Percy's and Sven Erik Skawonius's tableware. She was a free spirit though and as a freelancer also worked for Rörstrand, Höganas and Gefle.
