Royal Stafford | Patricia | floral tea trio set | cup, saucer & plate

Extremely pretty, vintage footed teacup trio by Royal Stafford with gold rims and floral decoration both outside and in. The cup model is called Royal Albert and is slightly fluted, matching the flutes around the saucer and the sandwich plate.It's a teacup I promise but you might not guess it unless you had your tape measure. The only difference between this and the coffee cup of the same range, is the diameter. The teacup checks in at 8cm and the coffee cup (not shown) at slightly less; 7cm. This pattern - Patricia - was produced between 1960 and 79. (Teacups are supposed to be wider and are often flared so that the tea - theoretically served at boiling point - cools quickly, whereas coffee cups should usually contain the heat since coffee is supposed to be served warm, not boiling.)
